Kylan Rice is editor-in-chief for The Carolina Quarterly and a PhD candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studies nineteenth and early twentieth-century American literature. He has an MFA in Creative Writing from Colorado State University. His poems and prose can be found at Kenyon Review, The Seattle Review, and elsewhere. His book reviews have been published by Colorado Review, West Branch, Carolina Quarterly, The Emily Dickinson International Society Bulletin, and elsewhere. He has peer-reviewed scholarship published or forthcoming in Women's Studies, Leviathan: A Journal of Melville Studies, Arizona Quarterly, and CR: The New Centennial Review.
